Rebecca Goodman

Rebecca Goodman was born and raised In Bradenton, Florida. She spent a lot of her childhood in and around the ocean and the natural places of Florida. She started drawing at the age of 12 and has not stopped since. In High School she focused on her art classes and found guidance from her teachers there. She later went on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in Printmaking. Her current work is in the medium of copper plate etchings and mono prints.

The subject of most of her work centers around the various animals that live on this planet and their relationship with each other, their relationship with humans, and their relationship with the universe in general. Her current work often depicts the moon in its various stages of wax and wane which represents the external effect the universe has on all of us, as well as fish and other sea creatures. Her work is printed on various types of Eastern Papers that are handmade in Japan. These papers look delicate but are very strong - this parallel with the natural world is an added layer to the depth of her work.
